An intersectional theatre collective dedicated to social justice.
Teatro Travieso (Troublemaker Theatre) was established in 2012 under the direction of Jimmy A. Noriega. It was founded on the premise that theatre can create positive change in the world. Through performances in English and Spanish, the company seeks to cause the best kind of trouble—the type that creates witnesses and fights for those who seek justice in our communities. The company's plays have been seen by over 25,000 people in Belgium, Greece, Ireland, India, Canada, Colombia, Peru, Romania, and across the United States from New York to California.
