BOUND is a movement driven performance piece that confronts the global epidemic of sex trafficking by focusing on case studies in Ohio and Georgia (where our company is based). Our work is rooted in ethnographic research, supported by our previous experience in interview-based approaches to gendered violence and community organization as a form of performance
activism. The aim of BOUND is to craft a multimedia performative installation that utilizes projection, curated soundscapes, live performance, and the testimony of survivors in order to explore the relationship between capitalism, technology, and the precarity of women’s bodies within the US context of human trafficking (as a means of public education and awareness).
